Below: Dug out the nasty bushes and half of the grass has been dug up.
That is tough work!
The rest of the grass is gone! yay!
Now for some quality soil and compost!
(yes, I shoveled ALL of that by myself! With my creepy male neighbors watching)
Finished! It'll look better once the soil settles.
So now I'm waiting for my baby seeds to grow up a little bit, then I'll plant them in the flower bed too! Hooray for my first flower bed!

Wow! I wish I was that motivated - I managed to weed my beds fully once last year, but that was it. I'm slowly pruning things to grow this year, but yours looks fantastic!
Wow, go you!! Part of me really misses working in a flower bed, misses picking out the plants and seeing them grow. Can't wait to see how it grows :)
