Between finishing this past semester of school, my sister's water breaking 3.5 weeks early, going to the San Juan islands for our second anniversary (really? It's only been two years?? ;)), and working on projects around the house, I have barely had time to relax with our Netflix dvds!
We have around four months to go until our first D-day. We have a list of "projects" around the house that we'd like to have done by the time Mr. Air Force deploys. Right now I'm working on painting the garage (trust me, it needed it), and Mr. AF is out in the yard shoveling dirt. The previous owners of our home lined ALL of the fence with a thick layer of pine bark as landscaping. Unfortunately, we do not like it and the dogs eat it, so we decided to get rid of the bark (that was a project in itself!) and put dirt over top to let the grass grow back.
On the bright side, the dogs haven't had any epic escapes ever since I put the electric fence up! Except the charger quit working so Tucker has begun digging at the base of the fence again. Time to buy a stronger one!
Left on our list of "projects" is:
Replace doors that were broken by our first dog (Brie the Great Dane-- remember her?)
Replace the deck railing initially chewed on by Brie and then continued by Tucker and Jackson
Paint the living room and guest bedroom
Finish my landscaping in the front yard, which includes putting up shutters on the front of the house =)
We need y'all's prayers about what we are going to do with our house in the next year or so. As everyone knows, the housing market (especially in our area) is not so great. We will probably get our next orders in about a year or so, and we need to figure out what to do. Neither of us are keen on renting our house out (too terrified of the nightmare-renting stories we've heard!), but we also don't want the house to sit on the market for a year :S. Please pray that we have open ears for God's instructions on how to handle this situation and that we make the best choice for us!
While the hubs is gone, I'd like to put it on the market for sale to see if we get lucky. I have 100% faith and trust that God is going to take care of us, I just always get frustrated not knowing exactly how He is going to do that, haha. He will though, nevertheless. That's all that matters! I'm just praying that at this very moment the perfect renters or home buyers are getting ready to head our way =).

Wow you have quite the to-do list! I'm sure you'll get it all done no problem, though. :)
I remember my "to-do" list before my hubs left - good luck and God speed :)
As for the housing situation...
We are in a similar situation ourselves. We are on orders and are actually putting our house up for rent. I think it's one of those things that if you are ready to take a loss go for it - we just aren't at that point ourselves.
